Yahoo Announces Support OpenID

OpenID?! You may ask what is OpenID? OpenID eliminates the need for multiple usernames across different websites, simplifying your online experience. In short, you can remember one password and username to login ever site support OpenID login.

Some big companies that have been supporting this open identification standard are Google’s Blogger, Plaxo, AOL..etc., and the last company to do so is Yahoo.

Now, Yahoo that has 248 million members announced its support of the standard, starting with a public beta launch on January 30th. What’s best, it will work both ways: you will be able to use your Yahoo ID as an OpenID identity login to other OpenID-supporting sites, or use other OpenID identity to login yahoo account.

Don’t have yahoo account? Never mind, you can apply other OpenID identity.
